Week 1
Kick Off Day. On 12 September, we reached an important milestone with the launch of the second edition of NextEdu, a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with OGR Torino and Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT. The day was filled with palpable excitement and enthusiasm as we warmly welcomed the 2023 Torino Cohort to the beautiful city of Torino.
8 companies have been selected, including 4 from Italy: Babilon (Italy); Discentis (Italy); Feed Their Minds (Italy); Knolyx (Romania); Medvoice (Ukraine); Three Cubes (Lithuania); ProjectMint (Japan); UniversApp (Italy).
Kick Off, 12 September 2023. Our journey began with a warm welcome from Matteo Pessione, OGR Tech Coordinator, who introduced our valued innovation partners, OGR Torino and the supporting Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita. The stage was then taken by our CEO, Antti Korhonen, who presented the exciting roadmap for the programme. The real magic of the day unfolded when our startups took the stage and delivered pitches that left everyone in awe of their innovative ideas. Later in the day, our experience went beyond the boardroom: we took the opportunity to explore the charming city of Turin, making new friends and creating lasting memories.
Day two of our Accelerator programme was equally exciting. We were honoured to have Edoardo Montenegro as our guest, who gave us an insight into the life of an entrepreneur. In the afternoon, we participated in a stimulating discussion with Tiziana Pregliasco from Pixys about team management and leadership. It was a very educational day and we thank Tiziana from the bottom of our hearts for sharing her knowledge with us.
On Day three of the EdTech Accelerator, we dived deep into the complicated world of legal matters and we were lucky to have Futura Law Firm as invaluable advisors by our side. We sincerely thank Raffaele Battaglini and Larissa Stievens for their expertise, which has been crucial in helping us on our way to success.
To end the week in style, we had the pleasure of tasting Barolo wine at the exquisite Azienda Agricola Sukula. It was a wonderful way to end our trip as we raised our glasses to celebrate the spirit of innovation and collaboration that is NextEdu. Cheers to the future of EdTech!
